CMC Fall Conferences

Save the dates for the CMC South Conference November 4 and 5 in Palm Springs and CMC North Conference December 2 through 4. Speakers will be notified by the end of June and registration will open for both conferences later this summer.

CMC Sponsoring Member Participation in Jo Boaler's Online Course

CMC is now accepting applications for members to participate in Jo Boaler’s course "How to Learn Math: For Teachers". Sept 2016 – February 2017. Fill out an application at:

CMC-South Scholarship and Grants

September 15 is the deadline for the following scholarships from CMC South.

The Elisabeth Javor K-8 Mentoring Award is awarded to the mentor of a K-8 classroom teacher in his/her first five years of service, and to the teacher being mentored.

The Lurie Center Elementary Teaching Award is awarded to an elementary classroom teacher (K-6) who has demonstrated outstanding work with students of color, particularly work that has encouraged students to improve their mathematical literacy.

The Susie Hakansson Award for Fostering Emerging Leadership of Math Educators of Color is awarded to an educator who has mentored and supported a mathematics educator who is a person of color.

Fall CMC Math Festival!

Fall and the new school year is a great time to host a Math Festival and let all of your K-8 students experience hands-on activities that reflect the CA Mathematics Standards. You can get your choice of dates by booking now.
A Math Festival will be the easiest event your school has ever hosted! With the assistance of just one of your teacher-leaders, we do it all and provide everything for a successful school-wide math event. For added impact, we can host a Family Math Festival the same evening as your student Math Festival!

• K–6, K–8, or 6–8 student Math Festival…$1500 to $2300 (based on number of students)

• Family Math Festival…………….…………………$ 700 (same date as your student Math Festival)
