Updated announcement re: NRG Oncology Publications

Important Message to authors of NRG manuscripts

This announcement is an important reminder about the NIH Manuscript Submission (NIHMS) System that requires authors to submit peer-reviewed manuscripts for processing and archiving in PubMed Central.

If you are an NRG Oncology investigator who serves as the corresponding author on any peer-reviewed manuscript accepted for publication that results from an NRG study, it is your responsibility to register in the NCBI electronic system and to comply with all submission requirements.

Please note: Compliance with NIH manuscript submission requirements is mandatory for NRG to continue to receive NCI funding. It also ensures that the work of NRG Oncology researchers is broadly available. Most journals will require the corresponding author to complete a transfer-of-copyright form and to confirm that a study has been funded by the NIH. The NIHMS system requires that a corresponding author respond to two separate emails: 1) acknowledgement of PDF receipt and 2) approval of the uploaded version.

Detailed information about the NIHMS System is provided on the NRG Oncology website at: What First Authors Need to Know (please note this is an updated slide set) and on the NIH website at: http://publicaccess.nih.gov/. We request that authors carefully review these resources.

Thank you for your support and participation in NRG Oncology.
