Dear Friends of the Down Syndrome Program,

Members of our team are very excited about the upcoming Eversource Walk for Boston Children's  Hospital and TEAM DOWN SYNDROME.  Our program depends on fundraising to bring important clinical and research programs to our patients in order to improve the lives of individuals with Down Syndrome.  Please join us!

Sincerely,

Dr. Nicole Baumer and Dr. David Stein
Co-Directors, Down Syndrome Program

QUOTES FROM WALKERS AND THEIR TEAM PAGES!

Here are what some families said about why they walk to support our program!

"It's our way of giving back to the program that has not only accepted our daughter, but our family.  The DS Program has given us so much information and support over the last 8 years, this is the least we can do.  We LOVE the DS Program!"

"I’m walking because all the money raised by this team will go directly to the Children's Down Syndrome Program. Tate's adventure continues twice each year as a participant in this clinic, where he is exhausted during a day full of wonderful interactions with physicians, dentists, eye doctors, nutritionists and myriad other specialists. This program benefits Tate and our family tremendously, as well as hundreds of other beautiful and bright children living with Down syndrome"

"Allison is followed by a number of specialists at CHB including, GI, Pulmonary, Cardiology, ORL, and of course the Down Syndrome Program. Since Allie was born we have met so many wonderful people, nurses, doctors, etc. that truly care about our family and provide nothing but the best care for Allie. We are truly blessed to have these resources available to us and hope that through our contributions and support that everyone who needs them has the opportunity to receive them."

Our Vision

All individuals with Down syndrome are physically and emotionally healthy, engaged at their highest capacity in school or vocation, have meaningful family and social relationships, and are valued members of their communities.

Our Mission

To partner with families, interdisciplinary providers, and researchers to evaluate, treat, and investigate medical, cognitive, neurodevelopmental, educational, mental health, behavioral and social needs of individuals with Down syndrome from the time of diagnosis until transition to adult care.
